The past few days have been really busy and I must say I feel bad about not blogging. *grin*
Nithya's reception on Saturday was a blast! I had lots of fun shopping at the flower wholesale centre, doing up the floral arrangements, helping the bride with all the last minute things that needed to be done. Nithya looked gorgeous ( need I even say this ), and I loved ( !!! ) her dresses! Not too sure about my singing, but a lot of guests enjoyed Krishna’s songs. I wonder if that was a way to tell me not to sing any more. :[ It was such a grand event, with 50 odd tables, mostly Nithya's parents' colleagues, so that explained why safe for the Tamil song numbers, everything was done Western style with Chines cuisine. Nice idea to have a totally Indian ceremony and then a non-Indian one altogether:)
Fell really sick on Sunday. Had high fever and flu. Bleagh.
And it was my mum and Krishna’s dad’s birthday. I tried to muster whatever energy I could to be there for both celebrations, but for most of the day I was knocked out from the concoction of flu medicine and cough mixture.
Tuesday was Prem’s prayers at the temple and I took a much deserved day off work. Was really nice to meet up with a few of the constants and friends at the temple but especially touching was to meet Jon and Jia Wei at home. Was making fun of Jon the whole time, cuz’ all the kids decided to whip out their pens, grab whatever paper there was and get their parents to lend them their cameras to take pictures of their favourite Singapore idol. ( Mine too, but I tried to be all cool about it. *ahem* )
Well, so much for that eventful few days. Am back at work, staring into the computer screen and actually looking forward to scanning a new patient this Friday.
Some pictures from the reception! Gotta wait for Nithya to get the official ones, but for now this will do
